It embodies our humanitarian spirit and is a guide to all our activities.  A few are outlined below.

The Rotary Club of Oglethorpe County is active in many areas of the community:

Encouraging Literacy

· Active Support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for one to five years of age

· Donations to the Oglethorpe County Library for books and equipment purchases

Reconizing Academic Excellence

· Rotary High School Student of the Month—recognized with a certificate and check

· Rotary High School Student of the Year—recognized with a certificate and a $1000 scholarship

Community Projects

· Chartering organization for Boy Scouts of America in Oglethorpe County

· Contributing to Alzheimer’s Research Project via “Coins for Alzheimer's”

· Initatiating the Peace Garden in Maxeys

· Support in various ways the Oglethorpe County Senior Center

· Contributing to Rotary International's Polio Eradication Worldwide Project
